Plainly, the cost of failure is a repeat engagement. I am embarrassed to report that I didn't decide on anything that I felt like buying on my last trip through the stores. I can't even understand the notion of treating the search for Jansport messenger bags as if it's some kind of gathering. I can barely even imagine how this works. It's completely against my reasons for buying items. But that is apparently how it is. I wish my wife had more people who she could bring on shopping expeditions. I don't know why that is. My sister is the exact same way when it comes to the shopping equals a night on the town way of looking at things. But in contrast, she has always made sure that there are people there for her when she needs to go out with them. Similar people too, who are just as excited as she is to gaze at more items than I care to think exist in the world. Everything right down to Jansport messenger bags. There was nothing that was out of bounds. They treated going shopping as I would treat going out to dinner or to the bowling alley with my friends.
But my wife just has one good buddy like that. To make things worse, my wife's shopping buddy doesn't live anywhere close to us so it's several months between visits a lot of the time.
